Getting Parents Set Up with Payments

This guide provides resources, communication materials, and practical steps to help you introduce in-app payments to parents and support them in getting set up. Using these tools can make the rollout smoother, improve parent adoption, and reduce the amount of manual follow-up needed from staff.


Parent Resources and Marketing Materials

Famly provides several ready-to-use materials that you can share with parents or display in your setting.

Poster with QR Code

  • Click here to download our payments poster

  • When scanned, the QR code links parents directly to their payment settings

  • It can be printed and displayed on your notice board or reception area

Newsfeed Template

  • You can use our newsfeed template to introduce parents to in-app payments with Famly:

You can actually pay your invoices with our Pay now button, and set up automatic payments if you’d like to. It doesn’t cost anything, and you can always go back to manual payments if you’re not a big fan.

It’ll save you a lot of hassle and time typing out bank details every month. And you’ll still get your detailed invoices with a breakdown of how much you’re transferring.

Checking Parent Setup Status

You can check which parents have already added a payment method and follow up with those who have not yet completed setup.

To view payment setup status:

  1. Go to Finances → Payments → Debt collection report

  2. Filter the report by payment method

  3. Export the list to review which parents are set up

  4. Follow up with any parents who have not added a payment method

💡 If you have enabled the setting to require a payment method, parents will be blocked from accessing Famly until they add one. In this case, you will not need to check setup status manually.
