In some sites, staff members will need you to define a secret word or phrase for your child to be collected. This is particularly useful when staff members don't recognise the person collecting your child on the day. The pickup person can validate they're the correct person by giving the staff member the Collection password for your child. This article will run you through how to set or edit your child's Collection password.

Keep in mind that not all settings will have enabled this feature. If you're not seeing the Collection password button, reach out to your child's setting to ask whether this has been switched on.

💡 Remember to update your Famly app to the latest version!

Create a Collection Password

Once you've logged in to Famly, head to your child's profile by tapping on their profile picture in the menu bar at the bottom

Next, tap on the Collection password icon in the top right corner

Enter a password in the Collection password for field, then Set password when you're ready

If at any point you'd like to change your password, head back to your child's profile, tap on the Collection password icon and tap Change password. Once saved, this will update for staff members so they're sure to have your latest password on file

Next time you, or other pick-up persons, come to the setting to pick up your child, share your Collection password with the staff member on duty for safe and efficient collection.
