Giving staff permission to do headcounts

Make sure that you also give your staff permission to do head counts. The relevant permission that should be activated is Manage head counts.

How do I create a headcount?

Click on the Children icon, open up the Safeguarding tab, and click on Headcount.

From here you can create a new headcount by:

  • Clicking on New head count to the top right-hand corner

  • Select the room, tag, or status for which you want to do a count (see the image below)

  • Now, you can check a child off the count, by clicking on their image. This will make the child disappear from the list. You can only save a count if all checked-in children in a given tag, room, or status have been counted.

You can also create a new headcount in the Room Overview

  • When you're in the room overview select the headcount icon. In the top right corner, you'll find it next to your room settings.

  • Choose the room, tag, and/or status you want to do a headcount for

  • Just as with the headcount done via the room overview, you mark a child as counted by clicking on their image. This will make the child disappear from the list. You can only save a headcount if all the checked-in children in a given tag, room, or status have been counted.

Where do I find a record of my headcounts?

You can find records of your saved counts in the Safeguarding tab, via the Children icon, under Headcount. You can filter the view by when the head count was done, by room, and by tag.
