Parents 🧸: The Newsfeed

All about interacting on posts and observations about your child

Written by Josie

When you open Famly, the first page you'll land on is your Newsfeed. Here you'll see:

  • Status updates about your child during their day

  • Posts from your child's setting to all parents, or groups of parents such as everyone in your child's room

  • Photos and observations about your child that only you can see

  • Invoices (again, only visible to you)

The Newsfeed is your child's setting's virtual bulletin board, and each setting may use it in their own way.

Interacting With Posts

If your child's setting allows interactions on a post, you can like it using the heart icon or leave a comment with text and photos.

Saving Photos to Your Child's Profile

If your setting posts a photo of your child to the Newsfeed, you can save it to their profile by tagging it:

  • Open the photo and tap the tag icon at the bottom

  • The photo will now be saved to your child's gallery, which you can find by going to their profile and clicking More, then Photos

💡 You can only tag photos that are part of a Newsfeed post. Photos included in an observation or assessment cannot be tagged
