Signing your child in or out of their setting
You are able, as a parent or contact with a pickup role, to sign your child in and out of their setting from your Famly app. Naturally, it is still advisable to make contact with your child's key person, or a member of setting staff, if you're collecting your child.
To sign your child in/out of their setting
Log in to the Famly app
Click on your photo in the top, right-hand corner
Select 'Sign in/out' from the drop-down menu
A new window will open, and once your location has been loaded, you can fill in who will be collecting and when.
You can also add a new contact, if someone new is picking up
Sign-in/out based on location
If you are signing in your child for the very first time, you will need to allow Famly to access your location:
This is because the sign-in/out feature is based on GPS, and will only be accessible if you are within 300 metres of the nursery. Once you've allowed Famly access to your GPS location, you'll be able to sign your child in or out as normal.
Signing your child in and out of their setting, using the separate sign-in screen
You are able, as a parent or contact with a pickup role, to sign your child in and out of their setting, using the separate sign-in screen. If your setting has this enabled, it will likely be on a device outside your child's room. It may look something like the below image:
To sign your child in or out using the separate sign in screen:
Enter your personal pin code (if your setting has chosen to enable this setting)
Click on your child's room (if applicable)
Click on your child
Enter when your child will be collected and by whom
Click 'Sign in'
Naturally, it is still advisable to make contact with your child's key person, or a member of setting staff, if you're collecting your child.
Expected pick-up time
When you sign your child in or out, you can add an expected pick-up time, so your child's setting knows when you intend to collect your child.
You can also edit the expected pick-up time from your child's activity tab. To do this:
When you're on the activity feed, hover over the 'Expected pick-up time' until the pencil appears.
Click on the pencil and a new window will open (as below).
Enter a new pick-up time
Click Update
