Adding the separate sign-in screen to an Android tablet
Follow the steps below to set up the separate Sign-In screen on your tablet.
Open the web browser on the tablet (for example, Google Chrome)
Enter the following address c.famly.co (for sign-in without pin) or pin.famly.co (for sign-in with pin) in the address bar, where you normally type a website address and click 'Go'
The sign-in screen opens (as below) but do not try to log in yet:
First, click on the icon in the upper right corner of three dots
Select ‘Add to home screen’
A small window opens, where you can change the name, if you like
Click ‘Add’. Now the Sign-In screen is accessible from the home screen of your tablet (called Famly Sign in, unless you have chosen a different name)
Activating the sign-in screen
The separate sign-in screen has to be activated by a manager , or member of staff with the correct permissions. To do this
Log into Famly , on the actual Famly app, as you usually do.
Go to 'Settings.'
Click on ‘Sign In/Out.'
You will see then see a button that says 'Show Password.' This is the four digit unique code that you will need to activate your sign in screen.
This code will change daily
Find the new ‘Famly Sign in’ icon on the home screen and click to open it- you can choose your preferred language at the bottom of the page.
Now you can log in with the unique password for your setting.
Deciding which rooms you'd like to be shown on the sign-in screen
If you don't want certain rooms in your setting to be shown on the sign- in screen, you can deselect them. Just follow the steps below:
Click on the icon of the Sign-in Screen, on your tablet's home screen (not the Famly app)
Click the cog icon in the upper right corner- this is your settings menu
The Sign-in Screen will then ask you for today's password
(This the same one you enter daily, to activate the sign-in screen. Find this by logging in to the Famly app, selecting Sign in/out, and scrolling to the bottom of the page, as described above)Uncheck the rooms you want to hide
Click ‘Save’
