How do I remove a staff member from my setting?
When a staff member leaves your setting, you will need to remove their login, so they no longer have access to the sensitive information on the app. In order for you to remove a staff member from Famly, follow the instructions below.
First, remove their login to Famly:
Log on to Famly
Click on the staff member you wish to delete by either:
Selecting the room the staff member is registered in and clicking on them
Finding the member of staff in the 'Staff' list in 'Get Started'
Searching for them using the search box
Once you're on their profile, click on 'Edit'
The top line of their profile is their login, which will state 'Role: [their role]'. Click on this box, and select ‘Remove Login’ from the drop-down menu
Click 'Save' to save your changes and prevent this staff member from logging in to Famly.
When a user's role is deactivated, the user is logged out from all devices, and they can no longer log in. If the staff member is a parent, they will still be able to access Famly as a parent, as long as their parent role has not been revoked.
Next, set a leaving date:
Navigate to the 'Contract' tab within the 'About' section on the staff member's profile, and find the 'Leaving date' box
Choose a leaving date for the staff member (the staff member's last day in the setting), from the calendar
Press Save Changes
The employee will no longer appear in your active staff members (nor be able to access Famly) after the registered leaving date.
Records of past members of staff
To view records of past members of staff:
Log in to the app
Click on the Children icon and go to Lists
Select New list from the top right-hand corner
Click on Staff from the drop-down menu
A new screen will show all your staff, where you have the option to filter
In the top left-hand corner, select the tick-box marked 'Past' and ensure the other two boxes are un-ticked.
You will now have a list of your past staff (providing their information was entered into the app)
