How to add rooms to your setting

🔒 To add or make changes to rooms, you will need the Create Departments and rooms staff permission enabled

Managing Rooms in Your Setting

Rooms (or classes) help you organise children and staff in your setting. You can add new rooms, reorder them, and enable specific status tracking depending on your needs.


Adding a Room to Your Setting

To add a new room:

  1. Click the Settings icon in your sidebar

  2. Go to Rooms and click on Overview

  3. Enter a name for the new room in the text box

  4. Click Add new room

Your room will now appear in the list. To add specific settings to each room, click on the room from this overview

  • Enter any additional details you want for the room

  • At the bottom, you can enable which statuses staff can use for that room, including

    1. Nap Times

    2. Nappy Change & Toilet Visits

    3. Cream

    4. Washing hands

    5. Register temperature

  • Click Update when you’re finished

💡 You can also delete a room from here by clicking on Delete room at the bottom


Reordering Your Rooms

Rooms are displayed alphabetically by default, but you can arrange them in any order that suits your setting.

To reorder rooms:

  1. Click Settings in the bottom left corner and go to Rooms

  2. Click Reorder rooms

  3. Drag the rooms into your preferred order

  4. Click Save to confirm
