π To add staff members, you'll need the Create Children and Staff permission enabled
When a new member of staff joins your setting, it is important to add them to Famly as soon as possible. Doing so ensures they have access to the tools and information they need to support children, communicate with parents, and carry out their daily tasks. Adding staff also allows you to assign roles and permissions so each team member has the appropriate level of access in the app.
This video will guide you through adding staff members to Famly:
Add a New Staff Member
To add a new staff member:
Click the Home icon in your sidebar
Select Staff
Click Add employee
Enter the staff member's name and email address (we recommend using a work email)
Choose their type of access in Famly by selecting their login type. To do this, you need the Manage logins for staff permission. You can also choose to add the staff member now and send a login later
Click Add to finish creating their profile
Setting a New Staff Member's Role and Permissions
Each staff member can be assigned a role and permissions within Famly. You can also create custom roles and assign the permissions that best fit your setting.
