What's a Holiday RSVP in Famly?

To get an overview of attendance, your child's setting may send out a holiday RSVP request. This could be over a period where time-off is more common, such as over summer or Christmas.

This is basically a request from the setting to let them know if your child will attend or not. Knowing how many children will be present, allows your child's setting to plan better.

How will I receive a request to input my child's holiday?

Once the nursery has set up a holiday period, it will be visible to you in the News Feed (as below) and on your child's profile.

How do I reply to a holiday RSVP?

If you want to respond to a holiday period in the Newsfeed, click on the purple button Report Holiday in the post (as above).

A new window will pop up (as below), where you can see the deadline for replying and whether you have provided your reply yet:

  • To mark a holiday for a full week, click on the empty circle next to the week. The question mark will change into a sun.

  • To select individual days, click on the arrow (on the week when your child will have holiday days) and select the days your child will be absent, by clicking the empty circle next to the date.

  • The status of the selected day(s) will change from Not on holiday to On holiday

  • When you have finished registering your child's holiday days, click Update Reply at the bottom of the Holiday RSVP window.

Where can I see my previous Holiday RSVPs?

Your previous Holiday RSVPs are registered both on the post in the Newsfeed post and on your child's profile.
