Using the Sample Import File
To make it easier for you to share the information we need, we’ve created a sample import file that you can download and fill out. This file helps ensure all your data is complete and correctly formatted, so we can set up your Famly platform smoothly and without delays.
What Data Should You Include for Import?
Please only include children who are not yet added to Famly (e.g. children not added during your trial). We require some details for every child, and there are a few additional fields you can fill in if the information is available.
Mandatory data for each child:
Child - First Name
Child - Last Name
Room
Birthday
Start Date
Additional (optional) data:
Gender
Nationality
Language
Birthplace
Leaving Date
Religion
Parent(s) - Name, relation, email, address, phone number, child lives with)
Bill payer (and their information)
Doctor information
Allergies
Health notes
Dietary requirements
How to Format Your Data
To help us process your data quickly and accurately, please follow these formatting guidelines:
Only include children who are not already in Famly
Enter just the requested information in each column — no extra details
Use only first name and surname for parent and child names (no titles or special characters)
Add one child per row
For twins or siblings, repeat parent contact details across two separate rows
Every contact must have a unique email address — contacts cannot share an email across different profiles
If only one email is available for two contacts, add it to just one and leave the other blank
Do not include special characters around email addresses (e.g. use contact@famly.co.uk, not <contact@famly.co.uk>)
Only include one email address per cell
Use the dd/mm/yyyy format for all dates
Need a Hand Importing Your Data?
Using the sample import file is the best way to ensure your data is added correctly and without delays. But if you’re running into trouble or are unsure about something, feel free to send what you’ve got to your Onboarding Specialist or email support@famly.co.uk — we’re happy to help.
