Upload Signed Contracts to Famly

You can now securely store signed contracts within each child's profile in Famly. This helps you keep all important documentation in one place and makes it easy for both staff and parents to access when needed.


Uploading A Signed Contract

You can upload signed contracts directly from a child’s profile. To do so:

  • Go to the child’s profile

  • Select the Documents tab

  • In the Contracts section, click Upload signed contract

  • Fill in the required details:

    • Contract name: give the file a clear name

    • Date signed: record when the contract was signed

    • Signees (optional): choose which contact related to the child signed the contract

    • Nursery signee (optional): select the staff member who signed on behalf of the nursery

    • Upload your file: accepted formats are PDF, PNG, or JPG

  • Click Upload

After saving, the contract is listed in the child's contract overview, where you can see its name, when it was created and whether it has been signed. Use the expand icon in the last column to check further contract details, including the signing date, the signees and who uploaded it:


Who Can View Contracts

Access to contracts depends on the user’s role and permissions in Famly.

  • Parents can view uploaded contracts unless their role is set to limited parent

  • Nursery staff can view contracts if they have either of these permissions:

    • Manage contracts

    • View contracts

  • Nursery staff can delete contracts if they have:

    • Delete contracts

You can find the necessary permissions for contracts in the Registration section by opening the Contracts subsection:


Deleting Contracts

Only staff members with the Delete contracts permission can remove an uploaded contract from a child’s profile.

To delete a contract, click on the expand icon in the last column of the contract to open its details. From here, click on Delete contract.


What Happens to Contracts When a Child Leaves?

Contracts will remain in the system after a child leaves, even if you delete their profile. This ensures you meet legal retention requirements. If you need to view all historical contracts or delete contracts before the legally mandated retention period, reach out to support@famly.co.
