Sometimes children need to spend time in a different classroom, whether for activities, visits, or transitioning to a new group. Using the Switch classroom feature ensures their attendance is tracked accurately while they are away from their usual classroom.
Recording a Temporary Classoom Change
To move a child to another classroom temporarily:
In your Overview, tap on the child's current classroom
Click the child’s profile picture (the child must be signed in)
Select Status in the box on the right-hand side
Click Switch classrooms
Choose which classroom the child should be temporarily moved to:
The same steps can also be done from the Check In/Out screens.
Once confirmed, you'll be able to see the child in their temporary classroom in the Classroom overview:
How Attendance Is Tracked During a Temporary Move
While a child is in another classroom:
They are included in the new classroom’s attendance numbers in the overview graph
If they are not switched back before the end of the day, they will automatically return to their original classroom overnight
