Parent to Parent Messaging
You can choose whether to allow parents to message each other through the app. To turn this on or off, go to Settings, then Communication and Messaging, and toggle Parent to parent messaging.
"Seen By" Receipts
Turning off "Seen by" receipts gives you control over whether the sender of a message can see that it's been read. This can be useful for managing parental expectations and allowing staff to use their discretion about whether a reply is needed straight away, particularly outside of working hours.
💡 You'll need the Manage enabling/disabling features permission to make these changes
To manage your "Seen by" settings, go to Settings, then Communication and Messaging. From here you have three options:
The first toggle turns "Seen by" receipts on and off entirely
The second toggle controls whether parents and carers can see when a member of staff has read their message
The third toggle controls whether a member of staff can see when a manager has read a message sent to them
