When you open Famly, the first page you’ll see is Parent Home. This is where you can find tasks, updates, and information shared by your center, all in one place.

Parent Home

At the top of Parent Home, you’ll see two tabs:

  • Home – your main view, where updates and tasks appear

  • Bookmarks – posts you’ve saved to come back to later

The Home Tab

The Home tab is where you’ll spend most of your time. What you see here may vary slightly depending on your child’s status at the center.

If your child has not started yet

If your child has a future start date, you’ll see a New Starter section at the top of your Home tab.

This includes:

  • A countdown to your child’s start date

  • Key information about the center

  • Contact details for the center team so you can easily get in touch

Once your child has started, this section will automatically disappear.

Your to-do list

If your center has set any tasks for you, you’ll see a To-do list on your Home tab.

These tasks might include things like:

  • Completing forms

  • Signing documents

  • Finishing onboarding steps before your child starts

You’ll be able to see what has already been completed and what still needs attention.

If there are no tasks for you to complete, this section won’t appear.

Your Newsfeed

Below any tasks or welcome information, you’ll find your Newsfeed.

This is where your center shares updates with you. Depending on how your center uses Famly, you may see:

  • Status updates about your child during their day

  • Posts shared with all families or with specific groups, such as your child’s room

  • Photos and observations about your child that only you can see

  • Invoices related to your account

Each center may use the Newsfeed slightly differently, so what you see here may vary.

Interacting with Posts

If your center allows interactions on a post, you can:

  • Like a post by tapping the heart icon

  • Comment with text and photos

ℹ️ You can only add photos to Newsfeed posts, not to observations or assessments of your child

Saving photos by tagging your child

If your center posts a photo of your child in the Newsfeed, you can tag your child in the photo. When you do this, the image will automatically be saved to the Photos section of your child’s profile, making it easier to find later.

The Bookmarks Tab

If you want to save a post to come back to later, you can bookmark it.

All bookmarked posts are stored in the Bookmarks tab at the top of Parent Home, so you can quickly find them in one place.
