Famly gives parents a clear overview of their child’s time at the center, helping them stay connected and informed. From tracking daily activities to managing permissions and payments, everything is available in one place.
This article explains the different sections parents can access when they log in to Famly and what each one is used for.
💡 Parents can log in to Famly on their mobile phone or a desktop computer. The same features are available on both, but they may appear in slightly different places depending on the device being used
Parent Home
When parents first log in, they land on Parent Home. This is their personalised hub, bringing together key updates, actions, and information about their child.
Parent Home includes two tabs:
Home – the main view, showing widgets and the Newsfeed
Bookmarks – where parents can find posts they have saved

The Home Tab
The Home tab is the first thing parents see. Depending on their child’s status, they may see different widgets above the Newsfeed.
New Starter widget
If a child has a future start date, parents will see the New Starter widget at the top of their Home tab.
This provides:
An overview of their child and where they will be placed
Site information and key contacts
A countdown to the child’s start date
Once the child has started, this widget is automatically hidden.
If you have set up an onboarding team in Communication settings, parents will also see a Contact onboarding team button so they can easily get in touch.

To-do widget
If parents have tasks to complete, they will see a To-do widget. This may include:
Follow-up forms
Contracts
Onboarding tasks set by the center
The To-do widget only appears when there are tasks to complete.

Newsfeed
Below any widgets, parents will see their Newsfeed.
This is where nurseries share updates such as:
Observations
Assessments
Site posts and announcements
Polls and events
New invoices
If a center's post (not an observation or assessment) includes a photo of a child, parents can tag their child. Tagged photos are automatically saved to the Photos section of the child’s profile.

The Bookmarks Tab
Any posts parents bookmark are saved in the Bookmarks tab.
Previously, bookmarked posts were accessed through a dropdown in the Newsfeed. They are now easier to find in one dedicated location.
