🔒 Not all centers have access to medication forms. If you’re unsure whether your child’s center uses them, please check with your center directly
Medication Forms in Famly
Medication forms help you and your child's center keep track of any medication that needs to be given while your child is in care. You can view, approve, and acknowledge these forms directly from your Famly account. Once approved, any time the center administers the medication, you'll be asked for acknowledegement as well.
Finding Medication Forms
You can easily find all medication forms in your child’s profile.
Go to your child’s Profile
Open the Health and safety tab (if you're using Famly on a smartphone, you'll need to tap on More first)
Find the Medication section
Here you’ll see any medication forms that are active, archived, or waiting for your approval.
Approving Medication Forms
When a new medication form is created, your approval may be required before it becomes active.
To approve a form:
Go to your child’s Profile
Open the Safeguarding tab
Click Medication
Open the relevant form
Click the Acknowledge button
Once both you and a staff member have acknowledged the form, it will be marked as Active. This means your child will appear on the medication overview screen for staff to track doses.
New Medication Forms
When a new medication form is added, you’ll receive a notification in Famly.
You can:
Click the notification to open the form directly, or
Find it under Safeguarding → Medication in your child’s profile
Review the details carefully, then click the purple Acknowledge button to confirm.
💡 If you don’t see the Acknowledge button, the form may have been archived. Archived forms can no longer be acknowledged or updated.
Existing Medication Forms
If your child’s center has administered the medication outlined on the acknowledged form, you’ll receive a notification asking for your acknowledgment.
To acknowledge doses on an existing form:
Go to Safeguarding → Medication on your child’s profile
Open the active medication form
Click Acknowledge next to the dose given
This helps ensure that both you and the center have a complete, shared record of any medication your child receives.
