How to Message Another Parent
To help organize play dates or share pick-ups, parents can contact each other directly through Famly. Here's how:
To start a message, tap on the speech bubble icon in your menu bar
Click the pencil icon to start a new message
Select your recipients by choosing the room their child is in, then their name — you can select multiple parents
💡 Note that parents can only see each other's first names
Type your message
To attach photos or documents, use the Upload button in the bottom left corner. Please note that videos cannot be attached to messages on Famly
When you're ready, click Send
How to Opt Out of Parent Messages
If you'd prefer not to be contacted by other parents, you can easily disable this feature:
Tap on your photo in the top right corner to go to Your Settings
Tap on Notifications & Messaging
In Conversation settings, check Do not allow parents of other children to message me privately
Tap Save
